Freelance Dance Artist, Dance Writer & Dramaturg

A freelance dance artist, writer and dramaturg, Rachel has worked independently across the UK dance sector in live performance, film & site-specific productions.

Rachel is host and founder of Dance Dialogues Podcast - a platform for artists to discuss their life, work and what matters in dance right now. The podcast reflects her passion for expanding conversations on dance, particularly for independent artists, and for finding ways to build more visibility & support within the freelance dance community.

Creatively, Rachel is interested in how dance & words interact in the creative process & performance. Collaborating with creatives from dance, immersive theatre, visual arts & technology, she has been supported by Dance4/iC4C (artist residency, October 2020) & SystemsLAB 2018-19, curated by Freddie Opuko-Addaie for Dance Umbrella. 2020 she was a selected artist on AWA Dance’s Mentorship Programme, to support the leadership development of women in dance.
